Whether it be picking up your essentials, assisting with a full shop or just window shopping we can offer a service to take you to your chosen shops or supermarket.

Our Care Team can assist you with getting in/out of the car, carrying your shopping bags and putting your shopping away. If you don’t feel up to going out, we can adapt the care plan for a member of our team to complete your shopping on your behalf. Just simply provide them with a list and they will complete the shopping for you.

If I give the Care Worker a list, how do I pay for the shopping?

The care worker will arrive at your home at the agreed time. They will take the shopping list and cash from you before they leave to carry out your shopping. When they return with your shopping, they will provide you will a receipt and any change due back to you.

Once you have checked the shopping and the change, they will ask you to sign a Financial Transaction Record on their phone with the details of money received and change given back and a picture of the receipt. They will do this for each visit.

Under no circumstances should you give your card or bank details to a member of our Care Team. If you have trouble getting the cash please speak to a member of the office team and they will be happy to guide you on how we can help.

Can a Care Worker collect a few bits for me on the way to my visit?

Occasionally, you may find you have run out of milk or bread before your weekly shop. If this is the case, we are happy for you to call us and we can let your regular Care Worker know to collect a few items on their way to your visit.

They will then take the actual money for the shop from you and complete a Financial Transaction Record for you to sign.

Can the Care Worker take me out with my mobility aid?

Our care team can assist you to go out using your mobility aids. From using a wheelchair, a walking stick/frame or a trolley our team are trained to use moving and handling equipment and can help you with getting in and out of the car with your aid.
