We provide a range of home care services to suit the needs of our customers. From a single weekly shop to full-time personal care, we can adapt our care packages to suit your changing needs.
We have a growing team of experienced care workers supporting people with their personal care needs, assisting with medication, companionship as well as specialising to assist people to live well with dementia and provide dignified and respectful end of life care.
Our team of care workers are trained to have the skills required to carry out your care but also come with a wealth of knowledge, empathy and understanding to ensure you get the highest quality of care.
As part of our values-based recruitment process, we look to see what is important for our care team and what values they can bring to our team. We carry out reference checks and a complete an Enhanced DBS check annually. A DBS check is a record of a person’s criminal convictions and cautions carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
The Allium Home Care team annually refresh their training and personal development is on-going. We carry out in-field supervisions to ensure you receive the highest quality of care, as well as, formal supervisions, team meetings, weekly newsletters, sharing experiences amongst the team and being endorsed by skillsforcare.

Most people assume home care is for people who need personal care at home. Home care services can be so much more than an alternative to living in a nursing or residential environment. Most people do not want to leave their home, community, friends and family to live in another environment. Our home care services allow you to remain living independently in your own home for as long as possible.
But our home care service is not limited to your home. From light housework allowing you extra time to do the things, you enjoy to shopping trips and companionship we can offer a range of services that allow you to stay at home and be part of your community. Our team of Care Workers can provide the extra support and peace of mind allowing you to visit the garden centre; spend some time with friends and family or even attend weddings or other important occasions.
Some people look to have care at home when they are unable to manage with their daily tasks, others look for extra help so they have more time to do the things they enjoy, while some need the care for medical reasons. There is no ‘right’ time to consider care, each person will decide when the time is right for them. Our team at Allium Homecare can help you by providing you with all the information you need to make choices that suit your needs.
We pride our services for being open, transparent and flexible; there are no hidden costs and we review your care plan regularly to ensure to only receive the care you need. By working closely with yourself, your friends, family and loved ones we ensure the care provided is just right for you. We understand that your needs may change over time and adapt your Care Plan regularly to change with your needs.
Our online system allows us to see the time our team member has arrived and departed from your home. It also allows us to see what activities they have completed and if they have forgotten or are not able to complete an activity. We use real-time technology to let us know if a care worker is running late or over their allocated time.
It also allows the care worker to write detailed notes about their visit so we have a clear picture of what has happened at the visit. These notes are monitored on a weekly basis and we will look to see if we are achieving your desired outcomes and if any changes need to be made.
In addition to this, our senior management team will carry out in-field observations to ensure the care is of the highest quality. We will come unannounced and observe the care worker completing your home care visit. You may raise any concerns if you have any at this time or at any other time that suits you by giving us a call.
Once we receive your enquiry, we will book an assessment to come and visit you. We would recommend you invite your loved ones to join us as they can also help provide relevant information and can help you make informed choices. In this meeting, we will discuss what you are looking for and how we can help. We will try to find out as much as possible to allow us to offer you the right package of care and find the most suitable care workers to meet your needs. We will leave you with some information so you can discuss it with your loved ones and our contact details should you require more information.
After the assessment has been completed, we will return a few days later to advise on what we can offer and see if the care plan we have drawn up with you still matches your needs. At this meeting we will finalise the paperwork and agree to potential start date should you wish to go ahead. Where possible we introduce you to the care worker that we feel is suitable to meet your requirements so you are familiar with the team before your first visit.
Once all the paperwork has been completed, we can start the home care service at the agreed times and we will book a review meeting in two weeks to check everything is going well. If you require any changes in the meantime we are happy to bring the meeting forward or just give us a call and we can discuss any changes over the phone.
We will remain in touch on a regular basis through our care plan review meetings, customer newsletters, service reviews through telephone monitoring and the annual customer survey.
