Bespoke Care Plan

Nutrition and Hydration are an important part of your well-being. Your Care Plan can include help with preparing meals throughout the day. Our team can prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Having a small team of regular Care Workers would allow you to build a rapport, they would get to know your likes, dislikes and any dietary requirements you have.

Support can start from assisting you to make your own meal to making the meal for you. We understand that a balanced diet is important so will advise on eating healthy and keeping hydrated throughout the day.

Enjoy cooking but need assistance?

Our objective is to support you to remain as independent as possible. Your regular care worker will assist where necessary allowing you to complete the tasks you can on your own. We will allocate enough time in the visit to ensure you are not rushed and have enough time to prepare your meal.

FAQs
See below for frequently asked questions about our Meal Preparation Services.

Many people will pick up a drink if they see it on their side table. We often leave a glass of water/juice for our customers to drink during the day. At each visit, we can ensure this is completed by adding it to the Care Plan. If we are concerned that they are not drinking enough we will start to monitor their fluid intake/output and speak with the GP for additional advice.

We respect your religious requirements and any other preferences you may have. When we meet at the initial assessment, we will ask about specific dietary requirements, and this information will form part of your Care Plan. This information will be shared with your regular Care Workers so they can support you and respect your wishes. By working with a small team of regular Care Workers, we allow our team to get to know you and how you like your meals. This then allows you to enjoy your meals the way you like them with piece of mind.

Our team are trained to help manage nutrition and hydration through specialist techniques. We work closely with the nurses that provide the feed and equipment and are trained to help set up, start and end the feeds. We also manage skin integrity and infection prevention around the area of the Peg.

Testimonials
We are incredibly pleased with Allium Homecare, after all the horror stories I have heard about other agencies. The carers have been a great blessing for my mum. They are always polite and very respectful. Didn’t realise such agencies existed.
